Both sides explain that “it just made no sense to continue this way.” We thank you all for the wild ride that we had in the past 2 and a half years - you know who you are. All that remains to dry our eyes are two tracks from the unfinished album which we now give to you as a farewell present: “Fragments for the People.”

In a coup de main that surprised even insiders, The Pickup Artists decided to let go their entire rhythm section yesterday. The Pickup Artists commented “We felt that is was a necessary step to be made, that we had to break free. We thank both Michael and Sandra for sharing our path. We will miss you.”

Analysts had speculated about the future of drummer extraordinaire Sandra in the outfit. In spite of her relatively short stay in The Most Expensive Band In The World, Sandra had quickly become a crowd favourite everywhere on The Unconditional Love Tour. Her dismissal will be met with mourning in the fan base and can only be explained with artistic differences.

Artistic differences were also given as the official reason for the leave of bass guru Michael aka “Evil Dick” aka “Kundun”, an even more surprising move. Michael had been with The Pickup Artists for almost a year. His professionalism has inspired band and fans alike, leading to his appointment to the rank of “Musical Director” aka “Musical Dictator”. His absence will be leaving a gaping hole to be filled in the musical foundation of The Pickup Artists sound.

Yes, this time the talk of the town turns out to be true again: The Pickup Artists annouced today that they have been listed as Live Sexgang on the much sought-after invitations to a Sexy Celebrity Party this saturday. The private event is hosted aboard a mystery cruise ship on the Rhine somewhere near Cologne.
